Co-curricular Activities; Academic Research and Field Visits

Seminar and Research Work
CAB will involve students in research work from the beginning of academic session. The faculty board may consider the research work as supplementary or complementary to the term test on the recommendation of the subject teachers. The students will be further required to organize at least one seminar to disseminate research findings on related topics every month.

Guest Lectures
To provide further impetus to curriculum and give students opportunity for experiencing real life situations as well as to acquaint them with current research findings on management and economic front, CAB organizes seminars with experienced managers, bureaucrats and researchers. These seminars, like other classes and industrial study visits are compulsory.

Field Study
CAB activities feature regular field studies and industrial visits of at least a week's duration. The students will submit a report of their study. BBS Third year student are required to write field study report of between Ten Thousand to Twelve Thousand words in their functional management area. This will carry twenty five percent of full mark allotted for the course.

Class Picnic
The College programme also includes annual class picnic for the students of different classes. The Plus-Two and BBS level students last session spent a fun-filled day at Bajrajogini and Tika Bhairab respectively.

Annual Hiking
Extra -academic highlights of the past year included hiking to interesting places close to the city. Created basically to inject a gust of fresh fun in otherwise a rigorous training schedule, this brief, daylong Programme also gave many of us a chance to experience the splendor of rural landscape. Those who went on these hiking, organized level wise, loved it and it seems fairly likely that this programme will continue to feature in CAB Calendar.

Method and Medium of Instruction
CAB attaches importance to student centered learning. To this end, the college has been in the forefront in using teaching methods that encourage students to do their best. The College has been using seminars, guest lectures on subjects of topical interest, research and surveys, and various other methods to compliment classroom teaching. To further strengthen the methods applied in CAB teaching learning, various audio-visual aids will be liberally used. English will be the medium of instruction and the overall communication at CAB.

Student Committee and Activities
The office of student committee contributes to extra curricular activities of students through advising on the development, implementation and evaluation of social, cultural and recreational programmes. The students Committee will be formed by drawing representatives form each year and each section. Two top scoring students will represent each class. Office bearers of the committee including President, Vice President, Secretary, and Treasures will be elected from among the class representatives.

All students, full and part time, are required to be member of CAB students Committee, and the students activities fee is compulsory. The CAB students Committee will be funded by the student activity fee paid by its members. CAB may also provide special contribution for selective activities of the students.
