Bachelor in Information Management (BIM)

Introduction
CAB offers four-year (eight semesters) undergraduate course in Information Technology of Tribhuvan University beginning this academic session. The Bachelor of Information Management (BIM) is an integrated course which has blended management education with recent developments in information technology.

As a premier management education institution, CAB believes that it should encompass the multiple areas of specialization that future management students may be interested in. Extension of programme with the addition of BIM was therefore a natural progression for the Institution.

The BIM programme will enable the students to develop skills in information technology, and at the same time increase their managerial efficiency by making them able to understand the professional work done by the IT professionals.

Besides, as IT professionals are in high demand all over, competent students graduating from this programme will have the option to go for a high paying professional career straightaway.

CAB is fully aware of the intricacies involved in running a new and high skill course such as the BIM programme. With its experience and achievements in the past years, the College, however, finds itself confident that the Institution is best placed to undertake this challenge. The College intends to replicate its successful modules that have proven so effective in the other programme it has been running to try to achieve similar success. To this end, regular classes will be supplemented with project work, seminars, term papers and interaction with relevant professionals. All endeavors will be made to ensure that the practical classes will be made more job oriented.

Furthermore, some selected students in CAB's BIM programme may be given a choice to appear in examination of a foreign university, if the on going negotiations materialize. According to the terms of negotiations, they may also opt to continue their final year study at the foreign university itself. The cost for both these options will be as per the foreign university's rules.
